Fallen Angel: A Post-Apocalyptic Paranormal Romance (The Wickedest Witch Book 3) Page 2
Daisy watched us. “The Archangel has mellowed you down, Wicked Witch.”
Gabriel indeed had a way with me. I turned to the Fury with an icy look. “What’s the vow?”
“I—” Daisy uttered a word, just as red scales started to appear on her chin. One by one they layered up, covering half of her face.
“Akem’s coming!” she screeched and shrugged off the robe.
Chill slithered up my spine—a tell that Akem was approaching.
Daisy morphed back to a beast in a heartbeat.
Gabriel instantly wrapped his wings around me in a full circle, his eyes fixing on the Fury.
With a tormented shriek full of agony, the Fury split into three, and the three beasts with scaled human faces surged into the air.
Don’t ever come to me again! Akem hears everything here! the Fury screamed in my head—I winced, even though I realized she couldn’t help herself. That was how she talked in her beastly form.
I’ll come to you, witch. Flapping their red wings, the Furies shot toward the deep jungle under the gloomy sky with more miserable, infuriated shrieks.
Gabriel pulled me tightly against his chest. “I’ll do everything to get you out of here.”

The Angel
Just as the Dragon shifter had said, Akem was obsessed with my witch. As soon as she showed up, even at the edge of the jungle, Akem abandoned his duty of snuffing out the fire in his jungle and came to take a peek at Fiammetta.
I took her into my arms, surged skywards, and flew opposite to the direction of the Furies. Before I learned how to kill the entity, I wouldn’t let him get near my mate again.
I sailed high above the city.
Fia loved height. She clung to me, her arms clasped around my neck, her legs wrapped around my waist, and her face snuggling against my chin, rubbing me when she felt like it.
She’d changed. She was no longer icy, but shy and sly with me when we weren’t in bed.
When I took another glance at her perfection, I felt my cock sprang to full length.
She gazed up at my wings through her thick lashes.
“Impressed, baby?” I asked with a smug smile.
“They block my view.”
“There isn’t much to see,” I said. “The sky is all gray. And there’re asteroid mines above Pandemonium’s atmosphere.” At her concerned look, I assured her. “I’m faster than the meteorites. I won’t put you in harm’s way.”
“If you say so.”
“In time you’ll learn to trust me more, little mate.” I brushed a kiss over the tip of her nose. “I have a brilliant idea. Next time, when we enter the jungle, we’ll set fire to it and drive Akem far away from the portal. The distraction has to work.”
“To a degree, he’s omnipotent. He sees everything.”
“Don’t believe everything he said. His power is the strongest in the jungle; otherwise, he’d roam the City of Nine day and night. Even in his domain, if he’s preoccupied by wildfire, he’ll be less concerned with us entering his realm.”
Fiammetta pondered. I loved her look when she was deep in thoughts. Come to think of it, I loved her every look, even when she appeared harsh, icy, and cruel.
She glanced at me and twisted her torso to study the landscape beneath. I didn’t care much about what was below. All I noticed was her bosom bumping and rubbing my chest as she moved around and that her gorgeous round butt sat on my hard shaft.
Her enticing feminine, flowery scent wafted toward my nostrils.
My cock jerked up achingly. And I was aware that my mate didn’t wear panties. How would it feel to shove my dick inside her tight channel right now?
Without a warning, I slanted my mouth over hers. She wanted to protest—like she’d always done as a habit—but I’d thrust my tongue between her parted lips and invaded her mouth.
Instead of a protest, her sweet moan escaped her lips.
I didn’t need any more encouragement. A hand held her ass; my other hand pushed her gown up to her thighs, slid around to her front, and palmed her lovely pussy.
She threw her head back, and another lustful moan tore from her throat.
The tip of my tongue licked her lips. “I can never get enough of you, baby. I want to fuck you every second of every day, no matter where we are.”
“Talk less, Angel,” she said breathlessly, her eyes half-closed.
I chuckled. I knew what my mate urgently needed.
My finger found the small opening between her folds and thrust into her tight sheath. She sucked in a breath.
My pulse spiked. Blood heated in my veins.
Her wet, hot pussy was more than ready to receive my cock. Her gray eyes glowed silver. The wild scent of her arousal filled my nostrils, and no frigid wind rushing by us could fan it away.
Her inner walls clenched my finger as it thrust through her passage. Her pussy was so tight. It was a wonder that she could take my big cock so well.
“Gabriel.” She let out a low moan. “I’m coming. I’ll come in the sky.”
“Not yet, baby,” I said, halting the movements of my finger, despite her protest. “Don’t you want my cock?”
“Yes,” she said against my earlobe. Her lips traced down from it to my neck, her little teeth grazing my skin. Electric sensation rocked me, sating my male possessiveness.
My witch understood the art of slow burn.
“My pussy likes your cock more than anything,” she purred seductively, her hand busy freeing my shaft.
My thumb brushed her swollen clit, and she opened her eyes, gazing at me and crying in pleasure.
My mate was driving me mad.
I pulled out my finger from her tight passage and drove my cock into her heat.
“Oh,” she moaned heavily, her lust a living flame on her skin.
I thrust into her relentlessly, my massive wings flapping up and down to keep us afloat above the ruins of the City of Nine.
When she came, she roared.
I emptied myself into her, then I started thrusting again, lazily, and with appreciation, for the heights of pleasure she brought me.

The Witch
The biting wind whipping by us couldn’t cool the heat in my blood.
The Angel hovered in the air, his wings expanding over fifteen feet and flapping, synchronizing with his thrusts. That was the most erotic sensation I’d experienced.
I suppressed a moan as a sudden dark thought occurred to me.
“Done this a lot?” I asked coldly.
“Jealous?” he chuckled.
What would happen if I slammed my ice and storm at his face? It wouldn’t do me any good, either. If he dropped, I’d suffer more.
“I like that you’re jealous, Fia,” he said. “You’re my one and only. You’ve erased everyone.” Then his face turned wistful, as if he’d thought of something, but whatever it was he didn’t say it.
“I can’t remember them,” I said, tilting my head to gaze up at him. “I was the heir to the throne in an empire. I had to have a harem, probably a large one.”
He snarled, his green eyes darkening with jealous fire. “They’re dismissed, or they’ll suffer my wrath. I won’t allow anyone to touch you. The only cock you can have, and will have, is mine. And I, alone, can meet your insatiable, carnal need!”
He slammed his cock into me again with such force that I gasped. Despite that he was trying to make a point, pleasure rocked me. He pulled out and drove back into my heat, his need urgent and savage.
My Archangel was possessive, but there was no need for us to be jealous of each other’s past. Somehow the mating fever was pushing us to a new level and making us unreasonable.
“You’re mine!” he growled, primal lust twisting his perfect, masculine face.
His massive black wings swung back and forth with each thrust. His strength and power infused into me. I was erotically drunk. I moaned his name, begging him to fuck me to eternity.
His long thrust ram
med to my molten center. Never had I thought I would have an Archangel fuck me so gloriously, and I couldn’t tell if this was reality or fantasy.
His thrust grew even more aggressive and possessive, and I bucked my hips toward him to meet his every demand and claim my own dominance.
We fucked, fought, bargained, and reached a compromise.
He roared, and the air vibrated. The Angel thrust through the tidal wave of my orgasm and pumped his seed into me. I hoped everyone in the City of Nine hadn’t heard it, but I knew for sure Akem had, and I bet he wasn’t thrilled.
Gabriel grinned at me and kissed me afterwards, his cock remaining hard in me, a benefit of having an Archangel as a lover.
“We should go back,” I said, worried about Kaara and the others.
“Not until I fly you around.”
“There isn’t much to see.”
“You might be surprised, baby.”
“Akem might take it the wrong way, thinking you’re taunting him after having hot sex with me.”
“So, you admit it was hot?”
I shrugged and smiled slyly. “Average hot.”
“Then it’s my duty to deliver another to make sure you’re truly happy.”
My heart fluttered at the promise. And I was giddy, knowing that if I want great sex, all I needed to do was to complain and bruise his ego a little.
Gabriel chuckled in amusement, as if he heard my dark scheme. “I’ll meet your every need after a tour, or we’ll never get things done. Self-discipline is the key.”
So he said.
We flew far above the jungle, along its edge. As he increased speed, the endless rainforest became a blur of dark green. I’d never felt so free riding the wind with him.
At the edge of the jungle, a gray sea, also boundless, extended before us.
Gabriel appeared disappointed. But what did he expect from Pandemonium?
“I’m glad I came to see it with you,” I said.
He looked surprised, as if he anticipated me scoffing at him for bringing me to see all the dull grayness. I really had a bad reputation as the Wickedest Witch. Even my lover was used to me being callous.
“After we get out of here,” he said, his eyes brightening, “I’ll take you to see the most beautiful view in the universe. We’ll cross one galaxy after another, watching all the wonders together. In the end, if you want to settle down, we’ll live in Valhalla, a new planet High Prince Seth has prepared for his Fallen Angels. You’ll fall in love with the violet sea, silver forest, and ridges of golden mountains. You can admire the moonlight spilling on my wings from three moons when we fly high. Valhalla has the most stunning night sky—a dream place for any Angel, and a place fit for my mate.”
It was the first time he’d talked about our future, but things weren’t as simple as he planned. Living happily ever after was a fairy tale. The Angel looked at it only from his perspective. He hadn’t considered what I wanted.
Our separation was inevitable if we got out of here.
Gabriel belonged to the sky. He wouldn’t be distracted from his task—hunting down the Dark Lord of his race. It wouldn’t be done in a day. It might take a century or millennia to achieve.
I was the future queen to an empire. I’d have to return to reclaim my rightful throne.
Even if I was committed to him, I’d have to wait for him to come home, and he’d always be on the road, and in the sky. I might not see him for years or worse, centuries.
When he’d been taken to the Vampire Tower, my heart was broken. I wouldn’t survive if it cracked again. I should just enjoy the moment and not get too attached. And it was time to smother his hope as well.
“All I want is to go home,” I said. “I have duties to my realm.”
He became quiet, made a sharp turn in the air, and headed back. He flew slower than before, and for a long time, he said nothing.
My shoulders stiffened. I tried to loosen my arms around him and put some space between us to look independent. He only tugged me closer, not liking the distance between us.
“I’ll take you home,” he said.
He didn’t comment further about what he would do after that—if he would stay with me for a short while or take off right away to pursue his mission and chase his destiny.
He only bent his head, nuzzled his face against my neck, and inhaled my scent.

The Angel
Fiammetta said all she wanted was to go home. She hadn’t thought of a future with me. We were fated mates. We should be together!
It would be hard to persuade her, though, when her eyes fell on the throne she was determined to claim. I would stay wherever she was after I tracked down the Dark Lord. But it might take a while to finish him off. What if she wouldn’t wait for me?
I brushed off the prospect. I didn’t have to deal with it at the moment.
I would fuck her every night. No, I needed to do more than that to make her realize that she couldn’t live without me, and I must do it before we reached her planet.
As I glided back toward the Witch Tower, I fucked her again, nice and slow. And after she came, she slumped in my arms, sweet as a peach.
She didn’t know that I’d begun my plan to get her addicted.
As soon as we flew through the open window to her chamber, I carried her to bed.

The Witch
Gabriel insisted on more bed exercises. Somehow the gown I wore had been torn off before we even made it there.
The Archangel was a savage, but he had a way in bed. His every muscle emitted damn sexiness. Whenever I trained my eyes on him, liquid fire licked the tender flesh between my thighs.
This mating need was out of control, but there wasn’t much I could do. I went with it and let the Angel have his fun, and I had mine, too.
But I reminded myself of the necessity to get out of bed to check on Kaara while I could still walk straight, and I told him as much. He only chuckled but helped me put on a flowery blouse and a pair of pants. He liked to tend to my every need, but strangely, I didn’t find this closeness suffocating.
He changed his trousers and shrugged on a trench coat, which could cover his erection if it happened. He didn’t have much stuff. What he had was in my chamber now. Cohabiting with me was a huge improvement on his former living conditions. He’d often complained about his quarters on the ground floor being too small, and his bed too narrow.
Gabriel held my hand as we descended the stairs toward Kaara’s room.
He knocked the door. A second later, Marrok opened it, sidled aside, and offered enough room to let us in. Mostly because Gabriel’s wings took a lot of space, even though he tried to be considerate and tucked them tightly behind him.
“Been for a wild ride?” Marrok asked drily. Damn him that he could hear everything, like the Angel.
The Alpha wolf looked tattered, as if he’d been beaten repeatedly. Gray hair now stuck out on the front and sides of his head. How could one age in a few hours?
Heartbreak did that to him.
When Kaara woke up and looked at him, she would think ten years had passed while it would be merely a few weeks.
“It wasn’t as wild as you thought, Wolf,” Gabriel retorted, but he toned it down when he gave Kaara a look. “We went for information.”
Marrok returned to Kaara’s side and held her pale hand in his large one.
“What information?” he asked.
“The portal,” said Gabriel.
Their discussion would take a while. I gestured for Marrok to move away so I could approach Kaara, but he was reluctant to leave her, even for a second. It was a wonder he’d departed to open the door for us.
“I need to take a look at her,” I said.
Marrok rose and let me have his spot, yet he hovered.
What would Gabriel do if I were the one lying there, bloodless. As I turned to look at him, his eye turned fiery and savage. I wouldn’t tempt him with more thought of that then.
My gaze fixed on Kaara Nightshades.
Her former amber skin was now paler than mine. Her hair was still violet, but a strand of white had appeared on top of her head. My heart contracted.
Her eyes were tightly shut, and I wanted more than anything to see them open, to see the warmth and intelligence in them. All these years, she had been the only one who carried a spark of light and fire on this doomed planet, for all to see, no matter how bad things got. Without her, we would all be lost, and I wouldn’t have survived.
My hand touched her cold cheek, and my blood of firestorm in her veins stirred, registering my presence.
Keep her safe. Keep her warm, I commanded as I strengthened our blood tie.
“Kaara,” I said, squeezing her hand. “I’ll guard you with my life. When you wake up, you’ll see a different world. You’ll be home.”
“Her home is with me,” Marrok said.
I sent him an icy look, but he didn’t flinch.
“No one is contesting that, Marrok,” Gabriel said, his eyes on me. “But the ladies have the choice and the ultimate say.”
He was hinting that he would respect my choice. Maybe he didn’t care too much that I’d stay in my empire rather than travel with him in space. Fine, then none of us would be too hurt when we finally separated.
Marrok glared at him. If it weren’t for Kaara, who had sacrificed everything to get him out, Gabriel would have gotten into a glaring match with the Alpha wolf.
“If she chooses to stay on her former planet, you can stay with her, you know,” Gabriel added.
My heart skipped a beat. Would he do the same for me—stay with me and give up his ambitions? My heart sank on the next beat. He wouldn’t be happy, and I wouldn’t know how to make him happy.
I sent my hope away. The best I would get from him was that he followed me to my home, fucked me a few more nights to get it out of his system, then merrily left to pursue his own path and keep chasing the Dark Lord. He needed to be a hero, and I wouldn’t take that from him.
